About

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my boutique. I wish to take a few moments and introduce myself to you. Art and crafts has been a passion of mine for well over 50 years. i was most fortunate to have a wonderful talented set of parents. My mother was an accomplished seamstress who could take a picture of a piece of clothing and cut a patten to fit. My father's creative passion was rock tumbling, cutting and faceting stones. Art was always my favorite class in high school and college.

At first I thought that I would be a interior designer, but when choices of colleges came to life, the one I wanted to attend, did not offer that course of study. Therefore, I focused on a degree in the arts and humanities field. The final semester arrived and all of the required courses were completed and I was left with only electives to fill in for graduation. The dilemma of choosing courses was daunting. Nothing seemed to fit. I looked at the requirements of a degree in art education and the number of course hours needed matched. Hence, I became an art teacher.

Having taught elementary and high school art for several years, I met and married a career US military man. Once settled in Maryland, I was able to obtain my perfect job...director of an arts and crafts program on a United States Air Force Base. To get paid to play was the ultimate sin... The great satisfaction was helping others find their creative niche and learn how to be stress free when leaving their intense focused job.

Over the years I learned many techniques and obtained various skills. But one skill I had not tried was making jewelry. Searching on the internet I came across wire wrapping and was hooked. Working with wire has become my passion. All my creations are usually one of a kind. Wire wrapping and wire sculpture is so gratifying. Adding beads, pearls and crystals is always so much fun and the perfect way to add color and dimension to any piece. Finding the right combination is so full filling. I am always thrilled and amazed when someone admires my work and to purchase a piece is so humbling.

Again, thank you for showing an interest in my work. Have a great day.
